Infinite repetition
How does one object fill the whole of space?

The field is computed for one cell only: take space modulo the cell size c, so that every point folds back to the matching place in that one cell, and one wire-frame cube becomes infinitely many. Drag c down and the cubes in the other cells walk in from the distance. Add some twist and the whole of space winds around the line the camera looks down; raise the amplitude A and each cell's turn swings between −A and A, a wave across the cells that travels with time. The corner is the cross-section at y = 0.
