A short film about spectra
Fourier analysis in six short chapters, from a snowflake drawn by a chain of steadily turning circles, through vibrating strings, sand on a plate, crystals and quasicrystals, to the spectra that light lays out. Every frame is computed by code; on the website, each one is drawn live in your browser as the film plays.
